The Foundation was inspired by Spencer Gibson and seeded by his generous bequest. How do we act on his sense of purpose today?
About the Foundation
The Spencer Gibson Foundation is a private ancillary fund established by the Gibson family in 2015. Eligible Australian charities can apply for funding via an expression of interest process.
Our Focus
In line with Spencer Gibson’s own aims, The Foundation focusses on Australian charities and projects that:
- advance research and care for people living with mental health problems, cancer, heart disease or epilepsy.
- ease people’s access to community life and spur their growth through education, the arts and creative expression.
- support people beyond crisis accommodation and into stable long-term housing.
Our Operation
Australian Executor Trustees (AET PAF Pty Ltd) is the Foundation’s trustee and supports the founders in reviewing applications and evaluating charitable partnerships.
The Foundation is registered with The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), which regulates and monitors our work.
